Sinotruk (Chongqing) Light Automotive Co.,Ltd. is one of the important automobile companies in western China.
As a strategic emerging enterprise of the Sinotruk Group, Sinotruk (Chongqing) Light Automotive Co., Ltd. shoulders the important development task of expanding the light vehicle market.
The predecessor of Sinotruk (Chongqing) Light Automotive Co., Ltd. was Chongqing Yuzhou Automotive Manufacturing Plant, which was founded in 1956, and later developed into Chongqing Jialing Chuanjiang Automotive Manufacturing Co., Ltd.
In 2009, Weichai Group controlled Jiachuan Company and acquired the remaining equity of Jiachuan Company in January 2012, making Jiachuan Company a wholly-owned subsidiary of Weichai Group and was renamed Weichai (Chongqing) Automotive Co., Ltd.
On December 31, 2020, after adjustment, the shareholders were changed to China National Heavy Duty Truck Group Jinan Commercial Vehicle Co., Ltd. and Weichai Power Co., Ltd., and the company officially became a subsidiary of China National Heavy Duty Truck Group Co.,Ltd.
On January 29, 2021, the company officially changed its name to Sinotruk (Chongqing) Light Automotive Co., Ltd
