For the same reason, the specific gravity of aluminum is small, and the structural strength of aluminum per unit volume is lower than that of cast iron, so the volume of aluminum cylinders is usually larger. The cylinder center distance of EA113/EA888 is 88mm, while the bore diameter of the existing version can reach 82.5mm. Excluding the cooling water channel, the cylinder wall is actually quite thin.
